Introductions
Minutes and Agenda
 Steve Cohen requested addition of agenda item to change bylaws to elect executive board by everyone in attendance at meeting.
 Decision was made to keep bylaws as they stand.
 Agenda approved with the addition of announcements before we adjourn.
 Minutes approved with the addition of the attendees at last months meeting.
New Business
 CityYear Programs in the Neighborhood - Chris Wilder (City)
 Presentation made by Chris Wilder, Executive Director, about CityYear programs. City Year is interested in supporting Lowell. For additional information call Chris at 907-6535.
Old Business
 Review Revitalization Plan - Mike Brilliot
 Action Plan Items on Housing
 Item 47 - Decision to remove wording about increasing housing suppy in the area and about higher density housing being more affordable.
 Item 42 - The UNC supports renovation and redesign of post-WWII era apartment buildings in the neighborhoods.
 Item 48 - Modify wording to state UNC promotes an increase in homeownership by SJSU faculty and staff through SJSU subsidies and sponsorship.
 Item 50 - Modify wording to encourage for-sale housing
 Steve Cohen requested addition to provide banners and markers in front of houses. Decision - Planning will add appropriate language to support this.
 At 8:30 UNC voted to continue the meeting until 8:45.
 Action Plan Items on Blight
 Item 65 - Planning will address concerns regarding wording of this item.
 Removing Billboards in the Neighborhood.
 Motion was made to keep Item on billboards in plan as written. Motion passed with one vote against and one absention.
 Public Transportation
 UNC seeks wording to indicate a desire for smaller buses such as the DASH shuttle for pickup within neighborhoods.
