New Business
 Announcement for PAC/NAC workshop - Brian Chapman
 The joint PAC/NAC workshop will be Saturday, February 23, 2002. UNC board members are invited to attend. The PAC is also looking for a renter from the UNC area to join the PAC.
 Formation of UNC Nominating Committee - Ken Podgorsek
 Ken Podgorsek will start up a committee to seek nominations for the unfilled UNC Board seats.
 Neighborhood Watch / Project Crackdown - PRNS and SJPD
 Members of the San Jose Police Department reported on crime downtown and resources to combat it.
 Sergeant Spicer - Metro district, Officer Rameriez - King Division (uniformed officers in the area)
 If you see crime, call the police and provide specific information.
 There is no empirical data suggesting more prostitution in the SOFA district.
 Gang activities seem to be decreasing around 10th and William since last summer.

 Neighborhood watch - Project Crackdown
 Project Crackdown is developing through the SNI
 Crime Prevention Specialist - Kim Gaddis
 She provides presentations to neighborhood groups and provide referral services that direct calls to the appropriate departments.
 Code Enforcement - Steve Barnett
 answered questions relating to code enforcement in the area.

 UNC SNI Revitalization Plan - Mike Brilliot
 Redevelopment Opportunities
 Consensus is to develop the lot at S 11th and William St. as a tot lot or basketball courts before developing the parcel on s 8th street as tot lot or community gardens.
