| | Angela Harper made a motion to accecpt the minutes, Ken Podgorsek seconded the motion, the motion was approved by voice vote.

| | Strong Neighborhoods Initiatve PAC - Brian Chapman

| | UNC SNI Revitalization - Mike Brilliot
|
| | Planning Commission recommended that the City Council and the Mayor approve the our plan. The Plan will be presented to Council on June 11 at 7:00 PM. a reception at city hall at 6:00 PM. Planning Commission also complimented us on the detail of the plan and the level community involvement in the plan.

| | 600 Block S 8th Project Proposal
|
| | Akoni Danielson (Planning) presented a proposed condominum project. The project would be 3 stories (42 ft in height) with 17 parking spaces. The first floor would be used for parking. Access to the parking would be from the alley way behind the project. UNC has recommended that this parcel be used for open space.

| | Housing for Hoover Middle School Interns
|
| | Lisa Jensen reported that Hoover Middle School is looking for people to provide food, housing for teaching interns for 6 weeks this summer.

| | Neighborhood Historical Survey Update
|
| | Corntnee DamKrodger provided an update on the Historical Survey in the South University Neighborhoods. They have completed the first phase of the inventory and will be taking it to the Historic Landmarks Commision in July. It appears that there may be enough housing resources to define a historic district in SUN.

| | Rob Boyles presented information on San Jose's Anti Graffiti program. Three years ago there were 90,000 tags in San Jose. Today there are about 5000 tags. The reduction is a result of stronger penalties, better volunteer efforts and better policing. If you see a tag, call the Graffiti Hotline 408 277 2758

| | Motion to have UNC submit a CAP grant with WACC for funding of City Year to Lowell and Washington Elementary Schools. Ken Podgorsek made the motion, Tom Clifton seconded the motion, motion was approved on voice vote.

| | Motion to support the Downtown Neighborhood Leadership Forum in its letter to SJSU regarding its use of Bud Winter Field. David Dudek made the motion, Nancy Hickey seconded the motion, approved on voice vote with Angela Harper abstaining.
