Minutes
 David Dudek moved that the April Minutes be appoved as written. Ken Podgorsek seconded the motion. The motion was approved by voice vote.
 Ken Podgorsek moved that the UNC incorporate the February Minutes from the civic plaza PAC into the minutes book. The motion was seconded by Sharon Wiley and approved on a voice vote.
District 3 Update - Cindy Chavez
 San Jose Home and Garden Show wants to sponsor the new park at 6th and William St and adopt it as a project to complete. The show will be donating items to get the park completed and doing a fund raising effort. The architect will be following the parks master plan.
Pi Kappa Alpha Presentation
 Pi Kappa Alpha is interested in leasing the house at 211 S 11th Street. The fraternity is a year old and have been active in the community as a volunteer. Now they want to move into the neighborhood and become neighbors. The fraternity has 46 members. The facility on 11th St has 37 sleeping rooms, 47 rooms total, and 34 parking spots on the facility. The fraternity wants to open the basketball courts on saturdays for neighborhood kids.
 Ken Podgorsek made a motion for the UNC to support the Pi Kappa Alpha application for occupancy of 211 S 11th on the condition of adoption of a CUP as previously written for Kappa Delta, Judy Connor seconded the motion. The motion was approved by voice vote.
Super Taquiria
 Greg Peacock presented preliminary drawings for facade improvements at Super Taquiria. The drawings have not gone to Planning yet. Ken Podgorsek pointed out that while the plans are an improvement, the community would like to be involved as the proposal goes through planning.
Financial Update
 Sharon Willey reported that we now have process for reporting the UNC financial information. We will be getting a monthy summary that reports the ballences in each account and and a quarterly report with more detailed financial information.
Medical Center Update
 Nancy Hickey reported that the Save the San Jose Medical Center Coallition has set up a website is up at http://www.sosjmc.org/. There will be a presentation at the next meeting on SB 921. The UNC expressed confidence that Nancy would represent the UNC well if there were a vote on the matter at that meeting.
Oral Communication
 Candy Russell complaint about the email list and problems that she has with attachments. We will try to set her up on a digest version.
Announcements
 Mike Brillot - The city is thinking of revisiting San Jose's ordinance banning mini marts in San Jose. Currently the city bans mini marts to stop alcohol sales at gas stations.
 Sharon Willey reported that the last day of finals at SJSU is May 17, so parking will be improving.
A Motion to adjorn was made by David Dudek and seconded Ken Podgorsek. The meeting was adjorned at 7:15.
